Become a Foster
Open Your Home.
Change a Life.
Fostering is one of the most powerful things you can do for an animal in need. You don't have to adopt; you just have to care. We'll support you every step of the way.
What is fostering? 🐾
Fostering means giving an animal a safe, loving temporary home while we work to find them their forever family. It could be a few weeks or a few months, but to them it's everything.
Foster families are the heart of what we do at HOPE'S Furever Homes. Without fosters, we can't help more animals. It really is that simple.

Common Questions
Do I need experience with animals to foster? ▼
Not necessarily! What matters most is patience, willingness to learn and a genuine love for animals. We'll guide you through everything.
How long will I have a foster animal? ▼
It varies. Some placements are a few weeks, others a couple of months. We always try to match placement length to what works for your household.
What if my foster animal gets sick? ▼
Contact us right away and we'll help coordinate care. You are not expected to handle medical costs on your own.
Can I foster if I already have pets? ▼
Yes, in many cases! We'll work to match a foster animal whose temperament is compatible with your current pets.
What if I want to adopt my foster animal? ▼
We love when this happens! Foster families always get first consideration.
Can I choose what kind of animal I foster? ▼
Absolutely. Your application asks about your preferences: size, energy level, species and any limitations.
